We are off to Korea in just a few hours! We cannot believe the day has come that we are finally going to be holding our sweet baby Jae. We got the call Thursday and now we are packed and on our way! Jae makes his debut on Friday, March 6th at 5:05 pm. If you come by to meet him we are asking our friends to meet us in baggage claim around 5:15 so Cole and our family can get to meet him at the concourse. We will try to update our blog a couple times if we can with pics of our meeting. We love you guys and thank you for all of your prayers for us and this precious little boy that is about to enter our lives!
Dusty, Kathryn, Cole and very soon baby Jae

We found out last Tuesday that Jae has is passport! Now all we are waiting for is the call to tell us he has his visa and we can get on a plane. Dusty and I are REALLY hoping to be traveling by the end of next week so keep your fingers crossed! Maybe next time I post we will have news?!?!?!
P.S. I now have 2 car seats in my car - talk about reality setting in that I will soon have two baby boys! (well, 3 if you count Dusty) lol

GETTING READY!!!

It won't be long until we are in this beautiful city - Jae has Emmigration Permission!! This means we could be leaving for Korea in about 2-3 weeks! Yes, we are freaking out...yes, we have a bajillion things to do to be ready...yes, I would leave right now if I could with nothing but the pj's I'm wearing! I cannot describe how it feels to know we are so close to meeting, holding, kissing on our son. Please pray for God to prepare his little heart for meeting his new family. Tears of joy friends...tears...

One Year Ago Today...
One year ago today we filed our preliminary application and began our adoption journey that has lead us to our precious son Jae. Although we have not met him yet, we are so thankful for him - to know of him - to love him so much already - for God to have chosen us to become his parents - his family - thank you God!!
We do know that they are currently working on his Emigration Permission (EP). We have no idea how long that will take (a couple more days, weeks, or months). After he has EP he will get his passport (1-2 weeks) and then his visa interview and finally the big travel call should come just a few days later! We will let you know as SOON as we hear anything!
Cole has been talking about Jae more and more. Yesterday we were playing in the backyard and he was in his fort saying that he was a pirate - a few moments later he said "Jae's a pirate too"! We are trying to spend a LOT of time with Cole this month and be home a little more than usual. If you know us well you know we are always on the go.
Thank you for all of your prayers for us! We REALLY appreciate it!
